During the weekend of 16 and 17 June, T-DOSE is organizing a Workshop Weekend.
On Saturday you can choose between:
- Git by Micha Hergarden and Bas Van Den Berg
or:
- Arduino, by Wim Vandeputte and Machtelt Garrels
On Sunday there is a Cmake workshop by Micha Hergarden
Get excited and make things with science and technology! Science Hack Day Eindhoven
is a 32-hour-all-night event that brings together students, designers, developers, scientists
and other creative people in the same physical space for a brief but intense period of
collaboration, hacking and building ‘cool stuff’. Share your skills and come to remarkable
and seemingly impossible results in a matter of hours!
In 2012 the seventh T-DOSE conference will be held at the Fontys
University of Applied Science in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. T-DOSE is
a yearly held conference that promotes open source and has a mixture
of user oriented and technical talks.
In the closing session Jeroen Baten announced that he is going to resign as chairman of the T-DOSE Foundation. Jeroen and Jean-Paul started the T-DOSE Foundation in 2006 and together with a group of volunteers they organized the yearly T-DOSE event. In January 2011 Rene Elders joined the board.
The 6th edition of T-DOSE (Technical Dutch Open Source Event) was a success. The keynote by Simon Phipps drew an analogy between business practices and social interaction throughout the ages. A number of tracks (including the keynote) have been recorded by CityTV and can be viewed here.
So you've been playing with your Arduino, maybe connecting some LEDs and sensors and wondering where to go next? Hackable Devices offers the possibility to get to know your Arduino just a little bit better. Using the Liquid Crystal library we'll help you to connect a standard 16-pin LCD screen to your Arduino and to program fun stuff on it.

The T-DOSE Foundation is happy to announce that this years keynote will be given by Simon Phipps. Traditionally the keynote is the first talk on Saturday at 10:00 hrs. I hope to see you there!
The deadline for CFP has passed and the schedule has been made up. If you are curious about who is going to talk on T-DOSE, then take a look at the speakers page. Do you want even more details, then visit the schedule.
I hope you like what T--DOSE has to offer you this year and do not be afraid to bring your friends.
See you on T-DOSE!
At Saturday 5th November during the fist day of T-DOSE the Fontys University of Applied science has his Open Day. These days are focused at potential students.
Potential students walk through all buildings and visit all departments. Various setups are on display for all parts of an education track, think of languages (English, German, French, Dutch), mathematics, science (physics, computers, chemistry), geography, biology or finance.
The CFP deadline has passed on 31st August 2011 and numerous high quality talks have been submitted and selected. I would like to thank all submitters for their contribution. The organisation started constructing the schedule and sees room for more talks. So open source projects and developers it is not to late to send in abstracts.
